Who runs this site

Braille Translator (braille-translate.com) is run by Nuno Carriço, Portugal. Contact: contact@braille-translate.com.

What this site collects

No personal information. There are no accounts and no forms that send data to a server. The translator runs entirely in your browser, and the text and braille you type or paste never leave your device.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Cloudflare's bot protection may run a small security check in your browser and set a strictly necessary cookie (__cf_bm, which expires after 30 minutes) to tell people apart from automated traffic. It isn't used for advertising or tracking.

Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure how quickly pages load. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track visitors across sites or build profiles, and doesn't store IP addresses for analytics. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Fonts and files

All fonts, styles and the translator's own scripts are served from braille-translate.com itself. The site also loads the Cloudflare Web Analytics script from static.cloudflareinsights.com.

Advertising

The site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites.

Advertising cookies are used only with your consent. Hosting, security and analytics rely on legitimate interest.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To use these rights, email contact@braille-translate.com.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority. In Portugal this is the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, www.cnpd.pt).

Children

The site isn't directed at children under 16 and doesn't knowingly collect their data.
